Lane County Housing Market February 2016
Pending Sales and closed sales were strong again in February for Lane County. Closings rose 37.9% over February of last year. The 284 closings fared 9.2% above the 260 posted last month in January. February of 2007 was the last time closings have been this strong, when 305 sales closed.
Similarly, pending sales (420) rose 14.1% over the 368 offers accepted in February 2015 & 27.3% over the 330 offers accepted in January. This is the strongest February for pendings since at least 2001.
New Listings (416) however, decreased 10.9% from the 467 in February 2015 and fell short of the 420 new listings in January 2016.
Comparing prices in the 12 months previous, it shows an increase of 3.6% for the average sale price and 4.2% increase for the median sale price.
