Lane County Market Action February 2017
February brought a mix of activity in Lane County. New listings (393) showed a 22.8% gain over last month, but ended 5.5% below the 416 offered in February 2016. Pending sales (369) were similar, ending 16% above the 318 offers accepted in January 2017, however fell 12.1% under the 420 offers accepted last year in February 2016. Closed sales (247) ended 13% below the 284 closed sales in February 2016 and 9.5% under last months 273 sales. Lane County saw an increase in inventory, however slight, to 2.2 months. Total market time also increased to 75 days.
The average price of homes, when comparing the past twelve months ending February 2017 to the previous twelve months ending February 2016, shows an increase of 8.8%. The same comparison of the median shows an increase of 8.3% over the same time period.
